What is the difference between my profile email address and the account email address

Within your account, there are two areas where you can change the email address, the profile page and the account page.

So why are these different?

The reason these two email addresses can be different is that it is possible to have multiple users under one account. The account email address is used by us to send service and renewal information and the profile email address is used to log in.

For accounts with a single user, it makes sense to have both the profile email address and the account email address the same however this is completely up to the individual's needs.

Just be aware that if you only change the login email address renewal reminders will continue to go to the account email address. Likewise, updating the account email address will not change your login details.

Need to provide access to someone else?

Rather than editing your existing login, it's much easier to invite a new user via user management - you can also restrict access if need be. Once invited the new user will receive an email asking them to complete their account. They will then have access to the areas you have set and you can edit/remove their access at any point.
